When chair # 14 was first introduced in 1859, more than 80 million units were sold worldwide. Its iconic forms are made of six hand-bent beech roundwoods, two screws and ten wood screws. For his low weight, his good price and his famous firmness he quickly found his place in the Viennese cafés and was often called "café chair".
The classic chair no. 14 has been converted into a bar version.
