Ceramic worktops are currently gaining in popularity in the kitchen sector. Jetstone now has over 20 colours available in ceramic, including several series with a unique finish, such as metallic, rust and concrete. And, in view of the increasing popularity of this material due to its extremely practical properties, the ceramics range is only going to grow over the coming years.
Ceramics are an industrially manufactured product, made from clay fired at extremely high temperatures. Ceramic worktop materials are the result of advanced development, applying technology used in the tile industry but in dimensions that can be used for custom-made worktops.
Ceramics are available only in a satin (matt, brushed) finish. Yet another reason for the increasing popularity of this material is that ceramic combines a beautiful, natural look and feel with exceptionally practical properties, and is very hygienic.
Ceramics are fine-grained in structure and generally speaking have a very constant colour. However, as it is made from natural raw materials, colour and structural variations, e.g. compared to samples, can never be ruled out.
