Normally, furniture is merely objects of utility that lose value over time. But with some furnishings it is different: they are in such demand that they retain their value even after years, and in some cases even increase in value. Some of them are even traded like pieces of art. We are talking about the classics of furniture design. Adjustable Table E 1027 by Eileen Gray (Classicon)
Its distinctive shape has made the height-adjustable Eileen Gray E 1027 table a popular 20th century design icon. It is named after the summer house "Maison en bord de mer" on the French Riviera, which Eileen Gray built for herself and her employee Jean Badovici and furnished with her own pieces.
The round crystal glass top of the side table can be adjusted individually. The construction is made of chromed tubular steel, optionally available with black powder coating. The curved foot of the table takes up the shape of the top. It is a classic of modern furniture design, which is also practical. For example, when the legs disappear underneath for breakfast in bed E 1027.
