In the "New Normal" after the Corona Pandemic, the home office will be an integral part of the living and working environment, according to experts. This is also confirmed by a survey just published by the Stuttgart-based Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO) and the German Society for Human Resource Management.
According to this, almost half (42 per cent) of the 500 or so companies surveyed have already decided to expand the options for working from home after the Corona crisis. An equally large proportion were still undecided, but hardly any companies want to go back to less home office. Almost 90 per cent also stated that more home office was possible without disadvantages for the employees.
designfunktion has now reacted to this trend by providing an infrastructure for company-owned home office shops. The shop offers individual products such as swivel chairs, desks, sideboards and mobile pedestals as well as nine product packages with durable designer furniture specially designed for working at home.
Durable designer furniture in three designs
There are three versions to choose from in each of the three categories "Flexible", "Homely" and "Technical". If you opt for the "Flexible" package, you get functionality on wheels that can be moved to another room when the work is done. The "Technical" package not only stands for the highest quality, but also brings design classics into the home.
Whereas the "Homely" package is aimed at style-conscious people who prefer home office furniture in an industrial-inspired style for their well-being and to increase their productivity. All home office furniture has been selected from the high-quality range of brands of the 150 leading international manufacturers with whom designfunktion has been working for decades.
After registering, companies can decide how much they want to support their employees. Until the middle of the year, home offices can be subsidised tax-free. One of the shop's first customers is the management consultancy Kearney.
