Furniture start-up Pazls achieved real fame thanks to the TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen", a German spin-off of Dragons’ Den. But even before this, the sophisticated click system developed by the young interior design company was already making waves in the design world.
Its innovative Pazls Snap connection technology – patent pending – won the German Design Award 2018. The jury said in their statement: “Pazls Snap is a revolutionary and ingenious new connector system for assembling and disassembling furniture.”
The best thing about it: no tools are needed to assemble furniture with the Pazls connection system. The modules are quick and easy to join together. A pin is moved by a small magnet and then fixed into a mating part. Releasing the connection is just as easy as assembly.
Pazls products are sold on its website, where customers can customise their sideboards and shelving using an online configurator. Pazls also has sales collaborations with other furniture companies.
Prices vary depending on the item of furniture selected. Cheap is one thing that Pazls products are certainly not: a sideboard will set a customer back several hundred euros.
But the start-up promises excellent quality in return. In its marketing, the company states that it uses only high-quality lacquers and real wood veneers. In addition, all its woods are PEFC-certified and come from sustainable European forests.
The added benefit: Pazls customers can not only design their furniture to suit their personal preferences. The furniture system is also expandable. They could start off with a small shelf, for instance, and gradually build it up to create a giant wall unit. It’s an ideal solution for mobile and flexible home living concepts.
