spoga+gafa 2022

Gardenlifestyle fair was a complete success

The world's largest garden lifestyle trade fair spoga+gafa has successfully returned after three years. From 19 to 21 June, around 25,000 visitors from 112 countries came to Cologne to experience live the new products and innovations from around 1,000 exhibitors from 52 countries.

Taking into account the reticence of Asian manufacturers, spoga+gafa 2022 reached the same level of exhibitors as before the economic worldcrisis. This was rewarded by companies from the ambista network such as Gaber, Higold Europe, St. Karasek & Co., PAPATYA Hidromekanik Makina Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S., SCAB Giardino S.p.A. SCAB DESIGN and Stern, many of whom found their way to Cologne.

As usual, the European core markets Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain were strongly represented by dealers and buyers. Intercontinental, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Canada, UK and the USA were excellently represented. The foreign share of visitors rose to 67 per cent (2019: 65 per cent).

Focus on sustainability

As expected, this year's focus theme "Sustainable Gardens" was omnipresent in the halls: Across all segments, the focus was on durable, recyclable and resource-saving materials, as well as the efficient use of energy and water in the garden. Thus, spoga+gafa 2022 once again fulfilled its claim as a theme platform and signaller for the green industry.

The trade fair was followed by another premiere: on 27 June, the Aftershow was launched on the new digital platform of spoga+gafa - with live interviews, recordings of the stages and digital events of the exhibitors. Networking can continue seamlessly after the end of the fair via the digital platform.
