Germany: Ikea offers assembly service for furniture

TaskRabbit, a digital and mobile marketplace for domestic help and craftsmen services, launches its service in Germany. Among other things the platform offers an assembly service for Ikea furniture.

The offered services can be booked immediately in Berlin and surrounding areas as well as in eleven cities in the Rhine Ruhr area over a mobile App and online platform. So-called Taskers offer their services, e.g. the assistance with packing boxes or help moving up to gardening work, the structure of furniture, and much more.

The Tasker are, so the enterprise announced in a press release, qualified, evaluated and examined, independent workers, from the area. The independent contractors are connected to work opportunities via the platform.

In addition, TaskRabbit, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ingka Group, offers a furniture assembly service available at selected IKEA stores and through IKEA's e-commerce website. Taskers are available one day after the furniture is purchased to assist IKEA customers with furniture assembly at home.

The Ingka Group is a strategic partner in the Ikea franchise system. The TaskRabbit headquarter is located in San Francisco.
