interzum bogotá: a look ahead to 2020

Columbia is the fastest-growing market among the major economies in South and Central America. interzum bogotá offers an excellent point of market entry for furniture manufacturers and suppliers looking to open up new business potential. Formerly known as Feria Mueble & Madera, the event has established itself as the most important trade fair for industrial wood processing, furniture production and interior design in Columbia, Central America and the Andean region.

Focus on greater internationalisation

Last year, 192 exhibitors, including 92 companies from outside Columbia, presented an extensive selection of new products, industry trends and innovations at the fair. A considerable 13,437 trade visitors gathered inspiration as they explored the 15,000 square metres of exhibition space. Next year, Feria Mueble & Madera has set out to demonstrate its combination of global expertise and industry competence once again – but under a new name and with more ambitious goals.

Now renamed interzum bogotá, the fair is seeking to further increase the number of international exhibitors and the countries appearing at the event. It will live up to its new name by basing its concept more closely on interzum in Cologne.

A consistent visual presence for the brand family

The visual presences of the different trade fairs that form the interzum brand family will be given a consistent look on a global level while simultaneously taking the events’ regional strengths into account and emphasising them. Alongside interzum bogotá and interzum in Cologne, the interzum network includes interzum guangzhou and ZOW in Bad Salzuflen.

interzum bogotá will be hosted every two years, alternating with interzum in Cologne. The next edition of the fair will take place from 26 to 29 May 2020. The exhibition segments will be expanded for the forthcoming event. interzum bogotá will follow Cologne’s example and expand its furniture production segments with the addition of Materials & Nature and Function & Components. The new additions will complement its established Woodworking and Processing segments.
