At imm cologne and LivingKitchen 2019, Koelnmesse and the design platform Stylepark present the best new launches at the international furniture and interior design show in Cologne. For the first time, their selection will be accompanied by choices presented by Stylepark, which offers trade fair visitors a guide to an even wider and thematically more diverse overview of the standout products from all segments of the fair. Here we present a few of these product highlights.
The HARRI table was designed by Peter Fehrentz for manufacturer More. Its design is delicate yet strong. The brass feet are the only features of this exclusive piece to exude a touch of eccentricity, but they do so without overpowering the whole. The surface is formed of a glued and laminated solid-wood tabletop. The table’s feet have brass details to match.

Sebastian Herkner created the colourful outdoor lounge Maraca for the furniture company Ames. The designer took his inspiration from the visual appearance of traditional hammocks. Dyed in natural shades, the handwoven coverings have a unique diversity of colours that conveys an effortless cheerfulness. The flowing lines of the metal frame round off the lounger’s design.

Form meets functionality in FLAP, a wall-mounted mirror and magnetic board in one. The flexible piece of furniture for the interior company Echtstahl was created by Uli Budde. He designed the multifunctional product so that notes, business cards or photos can be stuck onto the powder-coated metal flap that partially overlaps the mirror surface. FLAP can be mounted in four different positions.

Jan Kath opens up the floor. Probably Germany’s most famous carpet designer, he recasts a ceiling fresco as a carpet. A hand-knotted work of art, Magic View 2 makes a statement that is at once decorative and amusing.

The perfect piece of furniture for a micro-apartment: the compact Duotable by Müller Small Living serves as a breakfast table in the morning and as a desk in the afternoon before transforming into the ideal place for a candlelight dinner in the evening. The tabletop splits into two parts; one side can be folded at any angle and used as a base for a laptop. The cables can simply be fed through the table leg into the large storage area. The combination of desk and dining table is available in 20 colours.
