Achieving success with expert backing
A holistic brand concept – that is Villeroy & Boch’s objective. “When it comes to the design of living spaces, we know from market research that consumers are keen to choose products from coordinated ranges from trusted brands like Villeroy & Boch. Our reputation for design and quality makes us especially relevant,” explains Chairman of the Management Board, Frank Göring (quote from German furnishings magazine Möbelkultur). In order to achieve this goal in the best possible way, the company has turned to strong cooperation partners. The “Villeroy & Boch Mosaïque” collection was developed in collaboration with four renowned experts in the furniture industry: Collection C, Fey & Co., Geha and W.Schillig, who are known for their high standards of design and quality. Collection C is the licensed partner for system furniture for living and dining areas, FEY & Co. for box-spring and upholstered beds, Geha for bedroom furniture and individual solutions for living spaces, and W.Schillig for upholstered furniture, including dining room chairs and benches. In future, they will not only be responsible for production, but also for marketing and distributing the furniture range.
Holistic brand concept
Timeless elegance, innovative design and exceptional quality – these have been the hallmarks of Villeroy & Boch since 1748. In developing its home furniture collection, the company has put its design expertise to good use and incorporated its brand DNA into the design of products for the “Villeroy & Boch Mosaïque” range. The integration of ceramic elements and the modern interpretation of design features from 270 years of brand history ensure that the collection is highly differentiated on the market and fits seamlessly into the company’s product portfolio.
The furniture range is divided into living, dining and sleeping sections. It includes upholstered furniture, such as chairs, armchairs, benches for the dining room and sofas, as well as dining room tables, coffee tables and side tables. Lowboards, highboards and sideboards, display cases, chests of drawers and cupboard systems are also available. Upholstered and box-spring beds complete the bedroom product line. The recurrent theme and visual highlight of the collection is the ceramic pattern known as “Mettlacher Platten”. A modern twist on the pattern featured on the ceramic floor mosaic created by Eugen Boch in the 19th century can be found in the range in the form of a design called “Carré”. This gives the collection an individual touch with a high recognition value. When it comes to functionality and comfort, the upholstered furniture and cabinets leave no desire unfulfilled. High-quality spring cores for the seating furniture and beds ensure a high degree of comfort, while well-designed cabinets offer maximum ease of use and practical storage options thanks to useful features such as push-to-open or full-extension pull-outs with self- and soft-closing functions. The products are all manufactured in Europe, largely in Germany.
With the introduction of the new home furniture range, the company from Mettlach is now taking an even greater role in the design of new, open living areas. The new collection not only brings together an open kitchen with dining and living areas – bathrooms and bedrooms are also combined to create a shared space for relaxation and well-being.
