MDF is a versatile quality product which is made exclusively from debarked pine and spruce. This medium-density fibreboard has a high surface layer density. This makes it a popular material, both raw and coated, in ambitious furniture making and interior design. Its edges can be profiled individually and the surfaces can easily be processed. This natural material is particularly suited for three-dimensionally designed furniture fronts as well as for varnished surfaces and for high-gloss finishes. HDF is predominantly used as a highly compressed support board for flooring. It is extremely durable and is therefore ideally suited for contemporary laminate floors.
