raumplus receives the Iconic Award 2017 for the S1200 LED sliding door. raumplus has created a design highlight in the form of the newly illuminated S1200 LED sliding door, which naturally stimulates the human bio-rhythm through changing light temperatures. The sliding door, which can be controlled in terms of brightness and light colour, has now been awarded the Iconic Award 2017 in the "Product" category.
It doesn't have to put its light under the bushel: industrial designer Nane-Sophie Bergmann has developed the raumplus highlight with the S1200 LED sliding door.
The sliding door is illuminated all around with an LED band, which can be regulated by remote control in its cold and warm light components and thus controlled in brightness and light colour. The power supply required for this is provided to the sliding door via an energy chain that runs in the door-guiding ceiling rail.
raumplus managing director Uta Bergmann and her team were delighted when, after winning the "Home Style Award 2016" and being nominated for the "German Design Award 2018", the sliding door now also received the "Iconic Award 2017" in the "Product" category.
The Iconic Award honours visionary architecture, innovative products and sustainable communication from all sectors of architecture, the construction and real estate industry and the manufacturing industry. The competition thus focuses on the elementary importance of the interplay of individual trades and the holistic and consistent staging of products in architecture. The awards and the honorary prize were presented to the winners at the festive award ceremony in the double cone at BMW World on 4 October 2017 in Munich.
