Danish furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & Son is continuing to expand its lighting collection with the addition of the EK61 Opal Pendant (design: Esben Klint). While the pleated, superelliptical form of the luminaire is evocative of traditional Chinese lanterns, the materials used for the luminaire give it a classic, ageless look. The classic lamp, which was designed in 1961 but never produced, is now being launched in mouth-blown opal glass and solid oak.
