Polyester wadding or batting is a layer of insulation used in quilting between a top layer of the upholstery ticking and a bottom layer of the backing material. It is also used for duvets as it is washable and suitable for people with allergies. Our thermobonded polyester wadding has some unique features that include right weight/volume ratio for styling and designing, exceptional dimension and volume stability and fibre uniformity.
It is produced in rolls of density varying from 80g/m2 to 600g/m2 and up to 300cm wide. Our polyester wadding is made up of virgin hollow conjugated siliconised or solid non-siliconised polyester fibre mixed with low melt fibre and passed through an oven to acquire its thermobonding properties. We can also produce fire retardant polyester wadding in accordance with flammability test (small scale) NFPA-701 and CPAI-84.
For transportation purposes in order to maximise the loading capacity inside a container, the polyester rolls are vacuumed inside a nylon bag.
