Qualities of interiors:
Joinery (Technical plywood) : Core layers are made of single sheet veneers or veneers bonded edge to edge. There are no gaps on the edges. This quality is particularly suitable for products with aesthetic requirements. Brugres terminology: Technical
Standard (Classical plywood): Most widely used for all applications and in particular for the trade industry. Veneers are positioned side by side. This technique can generate some gaps on the edges. Brugres terminology: Classical
Packaging and industrial use : Lower grade veneers; mechanical defects such as holes and splits are accepted. It is used for applications in which only mechanical resistance counts. Aesthetic aspect of the edges is not considered. Brugres terminology: Industrial
Grading of faces (visible part and back)
B : grade B consists of veneers with a homogeneous color without open defects and no more than one sound knot per square metre. Single sheets and/or jointed sheets are used.
BB : this grade is made of veneers of all colors without open defects and no more than 3 sound knots per square meter. Red heart typical of beech wood is accepted as well as oak sapwood.
C : grade C accepts veneers of all colours and all types of open and closed defects. For C+, important open defects are repaired with wood mastic.
